PHOENIX – July 21, 2025 – Aprio Legal is pleased to announce that Carolyn (Carrie) R. Tatkin has been awarded the State Bar of Arizona Bankruptcy Section 2025 Honorable Sarah Sharer Curley Self Help Center Award.
Presented annually to a Phoenix bankruptcy attorney for extraordinary service to the Bankruptcy Court Self Help Center, Carrie was recognized for her years of dedicated volunteer work at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona’s Self Help Center, which provides free consultations to individuals navigating the bankruptcy process without legal representation.
With more than 35 years of legal experience, Carrie focuses her practice on consumer and business bankruptcy, representing both creditors and debtors. She also works with clients on non-bankruptcy resolutions and is recognized for her practical guidance, deep knowledge of the law, and client-focused approach.
In addition to her pro bono work at the Self Help Center, Carrie supports clients through the State Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service and the Maricopa County Bar’s Volunteer Lawyer Program. She is actively involved in mentoring and professional development, regularly presenting on bankruptcy topics.
The award was presented to Carolyn at the State Bar Convention in late June.
