OVERVIEW

Drawing on more than 30 years of litigation and judicial experience, Lori Metcalf focuses on delivering practical, business-oriented counsel in the areas of construction law, labor and employment law, and government liability. She has experience in both state and federal courts and previously served as a Judge for the City of Phoenix Municipal Court for over 14 years. She also served as general counsel for an international construction company, managing high-stakes litigation and providing strategic legal counsel on large-scale public infrastructure projects across Arizona, California, and Virginia.

EXPERIENCE

Lori has extensive trial and alternative dispute resolution experience. She has successfully achieved early resolution of hundreds of cases through summary judgment and dismissal, and has experience in both state and federal courts representing many private employers against claims of violation of labor laws, gender discrimination, race discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and harassment. Lori also handles construction claims and defends government entity clients against civil rights lawsuits. In addition to her practice, she teaches as an adjunct professor at Arizona State University.

EDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS

Lori earned her J.D. at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and serves on the Board of Directors of the Scottsdale Bar Association, where she is also a past President.
